Our campers

My husband and I enjoy camping. In the early years of our marriage (when we were still young) we camped in a tent, cooked over an open fire, and called it fun. But as we got older the ground got harder. When someone offered to give us a really, really OLD pop-up camper, we immediately said yes. We cut up our tent and made a new top out of it for the camper. We hauled it around the state and had great time. But after a few years it started to leak, so when we used it, we had to cover it up with a tarp. And then we noticed that the campground rangers were all taking time to come by and check out our camper. Hmmm maybe we should have left off the tarp.

When the top rotted, we upgraded to a Coleman pop-up camper. It was very nice and we liked it a lot. But eventually it too was sold and we moved up to a travel trailer. Lovely little trailer, perfect for 2 people. But it was a lot of work and trouble towing it. It might have been easier with a larger tow vehicle but that wasn't possible. So it was used less and less until almost 5 years had passed and we finally got around to selling it.

But we really missed camping, so my husband began to research all the small campers on the market. I had no idea that there were so many new campers or how different they all were. After much soul searching we purchased an Aliner camper. It is the funniest looking camper I have ever seen. But it goes up or down in 30 seconds.

But because the Aliner is so different from any other camper, we get lots of people coming by to look at the camper. While in Georgia at Lake Burton, we gave 1-2 tours every day that we were there. Sometimes folks came back for a 2nd look and brought a friend or spouse with them!
